Dr.
DeLain is a Wisconsin Licensed Psychologist, and also licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in Virginia. Dr. DeLain has
been in clinical practice for 20 years, May 1989 to 2009.
My philosophy is that therapy is something that happens together between therapist and client, and not something
that is done to the client. Treatment plans are developed collaboratively, to facilitate focus on the client's goals.
Personal growth, insight, and respect for the individual are highly regarded. Psychotherapy treatment includes an
eclectic approach, suited to the individual needs of the client:
1) Psychodynamic [considering unconscious motivating factors that contribute to being "stuck" in
patterns that are not working, & the influences and/or effects of early childhood development & family-of-origin
experiences];
2) Cognitive [considering thinking
patterns & how these contribute]; &
3)
Behavioral [addressing actions & potential changes in behaviors].
